From 24.09 to 7.10.2023, our Greek organization had the opportunity to host four people from Europe as a youth organization within the framework of the JobShadowing program. The participants – from Poland and the Czech Republic – had the opportunity to see first-hand the work of the EUphoria Youth Lab and make contact with the organization’s youth exchange programs.
In particular, Job Shadowers visited the organization’s office in Athens to see from the inside how a youth organization works and exchanged their views on topics that will be useful to them in their future activities. In addition, they took part in workshops and presentations on the proper use of social media (social media strategy), worked in groups, and engaged in research on the important daily issue of social integration in their country. At the same time, on Saturday, September 30, they attended the inaugural event of the local Greek think tank EmbraceAll Hub, and had a great opportunity to take a guided tour of the National Library of Greece, housed at SNFCC, participate in SNF dialogues entitled “Audience or Citizen?”, and visit the wonderful Athens-based think tank ENA Institute for Alternative Policies.
In the second part of Job Shadowing, participants were in Corfu to see how Think thank in Greece organizes and implements youth exchanges in practice. There they took part in the Clima(mara)thon program, which aimed to train people toward how they themselves can organize a #Climathon and thus help fight climate change. At the same time, they took part in various workshops and activities.
